Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL-SV) is an abbreviated version of the Hare Psychopathy Checklist Revised|. PCL-SV is an efficient and cost effective tool that screens for the possible presence for psychopathy in both forensic and non-forensic populations.
Cut off scores indicates when to follow up with the more comprehensive instrument. The PCL-SV provides a 12 item scale based on a subset of PCL-R items and is well suited for use in civil psychiatric valuations, studies of community residents and personal selection.
